UK - Western Balkan Regional Commercial Conference
The Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Serbia in cooperation with the British Embassy Belgrade, the UK Department for Business and Trade and the British-Serbian Chamber of Commerce are organizing the Conference that will be held on 20 November 2024 in Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Serbia, in Belgrade.
The total trade between the UK and the Western Balkans has grown by a colossal 330% in the last five years, and has shown an increase from about £1bn in 2014 to about £4.5bn in 2023. Considering the new UK’s free trade agreements after Brexit, the event will drive progress on raising total trade and utilizing the UK Export Finance in the Western Balkans.
The Conference is aimed at bringing together key economic decision-makers, identifying business opportunities, and initiating discussions with prominent business partners in the strategic sectors. The Regional Conference will provide an opportunity for representatives of the six Western Balkan Chambers of Commerce, gathered at the WB6 Chamber Investment Forum, to present the joint potential of the region to the UK business mission.
The event will also provide insights into the IT, infrastructure, green energy and food sectors, where regional experts and UK participants will have the opportunity to discuss their plans on how to face, adapt and respond to a new global outlook. This approach should foster dialogue among representatives of different industries and institutions, providing a clear picture of the current market outlook and future opportunities for cooperation. Besides the plenary part, the organizers will provide the WB’s insights through panels and B2B meetings with the UK trade mission delegates and networking with regional representatives and government officials.
Register on the platform for B2B by Friday, November 15th at the latest.
